SEANAFE networks

In 2002 SEANAFE consists of five national networks, each with their own leadership via a National Agroforestry Education Committee (NAFEC). The office of the Chair (who is also a member of the regional SEANAFE Board) of each national network acts as a secretariat for the national network. Each national network prepares its own plan of work and budget, and is implementing activities. National networks also  develop partnerships with a range of organizations with an interest in educational change. The long term national strategy is developed in a Country General Meeting.
Member institutions in each country are in charge of planning and decision-making in the national networks, with overall guidance from the regional SEANAFE Board.  A National Agroforestry Education Committee (NAFEC) will oversee the activities in each country, under the leadership of the NAFEC Chair.

Regional facilitation

A regional facility 'adds value' to the national networks. The regional level of SEANAFE provides technical advice, financial assistance and connects the national networks with one another. It also links the network with regional and global partners, including regional research, development and education organizations.

The World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF) provides technical advice and financial support to SEANAFE via a grant from the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida).
