Oscar Ochieng

Oscar’s work at the World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF) involves GIS work and technical support services in the Decision Support System (DSS) laboratory. He is involved in the training of collaborators and students on internship on the theory and practice of GIS, as well as ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the GIS Lab.  

Oscar came to ICRAF as a GIS student-intern in 1997, and has never left since. He holds a B.ES. from Kenyatta University in Nairobi .  

Research interests: Landuse/landcover change analysis using GIS and Remote Sensing, Diffuse Reflectance Spectrometry, GIS on the Internet.
