Delia Catacutan

Delia joined the World Agroforestry Centre in 1998 as Natural Resources Management Specialist in the Philippines where she conducted researched into policy and institutional issues in INRM and played a pioneering role in the development of Landcare. Today, she continues to be active in promoting Landcare at the international level. In 2009 Delia moved to the Centre’s headquarters in Kenya in 2009 after completing a post-doctoral fellowship with the Sustainability Science Program at Harvard University’s Center for International Development. She represents the Centre on the Steering Committee for Collective Action and Property Rights (CAPRi) network, a system-wide program of the CGIAR. She has been involved in, and managed numerous interdisciplinary research projects, including smallholder incentives and payments for ecosystems services, linking knowledge with action, institutional innovations, local NRM governance, scaling-up, and technology adoption both in Asia and AfricaDelia obtained her PhD in Natural & Rural Systems Management from the University of Queensland, Australia. |
