The Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR and World Agroforestry (ICRAF) joined forces in 2019, leveraging a combined 65 years’ experience in research on the role of forests and trees in solving critical global challenges.
The Kenya Country Office aims to align ICRAF’s programmatic investment with the national agroforestry strategy in order to inform policy and investment. It also provides scientists and researchers with necessary data and information (on partners, policy, geography, etc.) for project development, and participates in project development processes.
The Country Office links programmes and projects to relevant national partners and also participates in policy influence at the country level to ensure that ICRAF’s vision is achieved nationally.
