ICRAF supports Billion Tree Campaign

ICRAF joined UNEP and Nobel peace laureate Prof Wangari Maathai to launch a major worldwide tree planting initiative — Plant for the Planet: Billion Tree Campaign — at the climate change conference held in Nairobi in November 2006.  Full Story

ICRAF’s former Sahel and Humid Tropics regions have merged to form the West and Central Africa Region.  Full Story

ICRAF signs research agreement with Indonesia

Tree seeds toolkit
A manual and reference source for farmers

Lack of seeds, seedlings and other tree planting materials such as cuttings is a major barrier to rural families adopting agroforestry technologies that would improve their livelihoods. Tree Seeds for Farmers , a comprehensive toolkit and information resource, is part of efforts by the World Agroforestry Centre to address this problem.  Full Story
