Symposium on Agroforestry: Its relevance and potential in promoting local and global sustainable development

December 16, 2009 The Symposium will address wide-ranging topics of agroforestry, covering both theoretical and practical issues including its relationship with the Satoyama approach.
Dr. Dennis Garrity, Director-General of the World Agroforestry Centre will be presenting along with advocates of the Brazilian Amazon Initiative and Indonesia agroforestry systems.
The Symposium is open to the public and welcomes participation of a broad range of people including researchers, students, officials and practitioners who are interested in, or working on, satoyama, climate change and other environmental issues, as well as development and international co-operation.
