Dr Constance Neely is a facilitator for sustainable development, sustainable agriculture and rural development, holistic and people centered approaches, and participatory evaluation processes. She holds a PhD in Agroecology, and is an internationally certified educator in Holistic Management. She serves part time as the director of international education programs for the Savory Center.

She is an adjunct professor at the University of Georgia where her recent emphasis has been on community-based carbon sequestration in West Africa.

Constance has served as a visiting expert and senior consultant to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in Rome since 1997 in the areas of participatory land management, sustainable agriculture and rural development, good agricultural practice, sustainable livelihoods, and multi-stakeholder dialogue and partnerships among civil society, government and intergovernmental actors.

Currently her work centers on community based natural resource management and practice to policy linkages for SARD in East and Southern Africa. From 1992 until 2003, she served as the Deputy Director and Acting Director of the Sustainable Agriculture and Natural Resources Management Collaborative Research Support Program (SANREM CRSP) funded through the USAID with a focus on participatory watershed management in Southeast Asia, the Andean Region and West Africa.

She is the past president and a current board member of the International Farming Systems Association and co-founder of Kalani Organica Coffees and Teas in Seattle, Washington and Hawk Hollow Farms in Watkinsville, Georgia, USA.
