Dr Catacutan is a social scientist at the World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF) headquarters based in Nairobi, Kenya. Previosly she was an NRM Research Officer and Mindanao Programme Coordinator of the World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF), in the Philippines. She has 10 years experience in NRM research, focusing on institutional and policy issues, and has been actively involved in the Philippines-Australia Landcare Project since 1999. Delia was involved in international Landcare discussions that led to the current Landcare International (LI) initiative. She manages the East-African Landcare Research and Capacity-Building Programme funded by AusAid (Pretoria-SA).

Before joining ICRAF, she worked in Lantapan, Bukidnon where she was responsible for developing a municipality-driven natural resources management and development plan that was technically supported by ICRAF and the Sustainable Agricultural and Natural Resources Collaborative Research Support Program funded by the United States Agency for International Development.

Delia holds a PhD in Natural and Rural Systems Management from the University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia, and a Master of Science in Development Management from Liceo de Cagayan, Philippines. She earned her Master of Arts in Teaching and Bachelor of Science in Industrial Education from Don Mariano Marcos Polytechnic College in Cagayan de Oro City.
