The meeting aimed at:
1. Establishing common understanding and agreement on the descriptions of the key themes of the AFLA curricular framework for effective translation;
2. Addressing information gaps, if there are still any, and familiarize each other with the case study materials for effective translation;
3. Agreeing on the major process and activities to be undertaken for Phase 2 implementation of the AFLA project;
4. Orienting the coordinators on how to conduct the in-country trainings, including documenting the whole process;
5. Finalizing the country teams’ terms of reference; and
6. Agreeing on the timetable for submission of project deliverables by November 2008.
