The Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR and World Agroforestry (ICRAF) joined forces in 2019, leveraging a combined 65 years’ experience in research on the role of forests and trees in solving critical global challenges.
Agnes holds a BSc in Plant Pathology from the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT). She is currently pursuing an MSc in Plant Ecology from the same university. Her research is on diversity and nutritional value of fodder tree species: Case study of Kayatta, Githunguri and Lari under the CGIAR Research Program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS) fodder project. She is involved in the development of projects dealing with sustainable seed and seedling management systems. She is also involved in the management of ICRAF's nursery, data collection and report writing of ongoing experiments at the nursery. She is also part of the team that is working on the IFAD-funded Fruiting Africa Project.
