Side Events

The Congress welcomes institutions and agencies to organize their own side event at the 2nd World Congress of Agroforestry. The timings for the side events have changed; please note that the side events will be scheduled at lunchtimes from Monday 24 August to Thursday 27 August. Please see the schedule below for timings and venue of your side event. The venues are subject to change.

Side Events will be for a maximum of 90 min.

Side events will be held in rooms that can accommodate 30-40 people. There is no extra charge for registered participants who organize and hold a side event.

If you are interested in organizing a side event, kindly contact the secretariat at wca2009@cgiar.org with ‘Side Event' in the subject line. Provide the full contact address, the title of the side event, a short description of not more than 100 words, and the key contact person for the side event. The Secretariat shall schedule these with a timing and venue for your side event. Side events will not be mentioned in the Congress programme unless full information regarding the side event is provided to the secretariat by 5 August 2009.
