This report illustrates how ICRAF addressed interconnected challenges of persistent rural poverty and vulnerability; degraded landscapes, loss of ecosystem function and biodiversity; unsustainable production practices, particularly of tree commodities and climate change; and other threats to food, energy and socio-political security. In each case, we highlight key knowledge products, knowledge services, outcomes and impacts.
The Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR and World Agroforestry (ICRAF) joined forces in 2019, leveraging a combined 65 years’ experience in research on the role of forests and trees in solving critical global challenges.
