The Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR and World Agroforestry (ICRAF) joined forces in 2019, leveraging a combined 65 years’ experience in research on the role of forests and trees in solving critical global challenges.
Purpose
This project aims to bring affordable soil analysis to small hold farmers across Africa by:
- Tapping into the wealth of knowledge contained in gases released by soil biota
- Devising a roadmap for making soil assessments and tailored fertilizers accessible to small hold farmers.
