The Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR and World Agroforestry (ICRAF) joined forces in 2019, leveraging a combined 65 years’ experience in research on the role of forests and trees in solving critical global challenges.
Elvis Weullow is a Senior Soil laboratory Enterprise Manager at the CIFOR– ICRAF Soil Plant Spectral Diagnostics Laboratory. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Chemistry (Analytical) from the University of Nairobi and he is an MSc (Environmental Science) finalist at Kenyatta University.
Elvis is one of the pioneers in development of spectroscopy methods for land health surveillance at ICRAF. He provides strategic, technical, operation and administrative leadership for the laboratory as well as capacity development within Africa and across globe. He is the focal representative for CIFOR-ICRAF at the Food and Agricultural Organisation Global Soils Partnership, Global Soils Laboratory Initiative(GLOSOLAN) initiative.
Elvis is a member of Kenya Chemical Society and has served as the Chair of ICRAF’s Lab Health Safety and System Committee.
