- Scientist, Natural Resources Governance and Bioenergy
Phosiso Sola is a scientist working on natural resources governance, bioenergy and development of sustainable agroforestry value chains. Her current work focuses on governance of woodfuel, with the aim of contributing to the development of sustainable charcoal value chains in African drylands. She has also worked extensively on environmental management and rehabilitation in conflict situations in Africa and Asia. She has over 25 years’ work experience, most of which has been in action research and development projects on natural resources management, forest and agroforestry products commercialization, agro-market links and value-chain development. She obtained her PhD from the University of Wales, Bangor, focusing on impacts of commercialisation of non-timber forest products.
